How to install WolvenKit for Next-Gen.

With setup WKit, launch it and create a new project.
- Enter Asset Browser from Tool Panel, or go File → Asset Browser.
- In Asset Browser, enter TextureCache. This is a a collection of all the Texture data stored by the game (XBM, DDS, PNG files).
- Make sure to DISABLE results limit!
- If you’ll leave it enabled, you’ll get incomplete texture depot, as many folders have 1000+ textures in them.
- Enable “Always use last bunble” option for convenience.
- Right-click on any folder to enter its context menu.
Click “Mark all files of folder”.
- Note that some folders here have thousands of textures stored in them, so start from something smaller to test (for example, “quests”).
- When files have been marked and added to the right column of Asset Browser, you can now Export them.
- DO NOT check “Uncook” or “Export” checkboxes - it’s unneded and export won’t work properly if you check them.
- To Export, choose “Add marked files to mod” or “Add marked files to DLC” (it doesn’t really matter). Wait for operation to finish.
- When finished, you should now have files added to the Project File Tree to the left.
- Go through all or some depot folders depending on what you plan to mod. When done, place the textures you exported somewhere convenient for you.
- I suggest you export all files and clean it up later when you’re sure you don’t need it anymore.
- You can enter your Explorer by clicking on any file or folder in Project File Tree and Selecting “Open File in Explorer”.
